PARTNER: Samaritan’s Purse

Last October (2023) Acapulco was hit by hurricane Otis affecting thousands of people! Even though the City is on a rise of recovery there’s still hundreds of families that are sleeping without a roof and whose houses were badly affected. There’s no water or power in many of the communities, and with the spring on its way - and one of the hottest seasons coming - we needed to do something about it! Together with our friends of Samaritan’s Purse - and under their lead - we are building roofs and reconstructing houses in the poorest communities in town.

El pasado mes de octubre (2023) Acapulco fue azotado por el huracán Otis afectando a miles de personas. Aunque la Ciudad está en pleno proceso de recuperación, todavía hay cientos de familias que duermen sin techo y cuyas casas resultaron gravemente afectadas. No hay agua ni electricidad en muchas de las comunidades, y con la primavera acercándose, y con ello una de las estaciones más calurosas, ¡necesitábamos hacer algo al respecto! Junto con nuestros amigos de Samaritan's Purse - y bajo su dirección - estamos construyendo tejados y reconstruyendo casas en las comunidades más pobres de la ciudad.
